Biography:

J.D. (Joseph) Blazek, CA, TEP, is a Partner in MNP’s Taxation Services group in Winnipeg. With over a decade of experience, J.D. assists owner-managed businesses by providing customized solutions for tax planning, estate planning and corporate reorganizations. J.D. also works with First Nations and Aboriginal organizations to assist them in structuring their business operations in an effective and tax efficient manner.

A former business owner, J.D. has a unique understanding of the challenges small business owners face. His experience working with First Nations and Aboriginal organizations has also given him a keen understanding of the particular issues impacting their operations.

J.D. is adept identifying potential income tax issues for his clients and delivering customized  solutions that minimize taxes while achieving the client’s overall goals. He works closely with all his clients to gain an in-depth understanding of their operations as well as of their business and personal goals, allowing him to more effectively meet their needs.

J.D. was designated a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2000 and received his Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation in 2005. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Lakehead University. His community involvement includes being a member of the Red Lake District Lions Club and was on the board of directors of the Red Lake Area Golf & Country Club.
