Biography:

Scott Lawritsen, MA, MBA, CBV, CFA is MNP's Business Valuation and Litigation Support Leader for southern Alberta. Accredited as a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Business Valuator, his background includes over 15 years’ experience in business valuation, litigation support and corporate finance. Within MNP, Scott is supported by more than 20 specialists who have been awarded the CFA and/or CBV designation.

Scott has extensive experience in business valuations and the quantification of economic damages, and has been qualified to testify before the Court of Queen's Bench for Alberta. On a daily basis, Scott represents clients involved in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, oil and gas exploration and services, regulated utilities, software, technology, insurance, hospitality and government.

An accomplished presenter, Scott has developed and presented courses on corporate finance and damage quantification for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and British Columbia and at Federated Press Conferences. He has also published numerous articles on business valuation and has served on various Boards and committees of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators and CFA Institute.
