Biography:

Michael Kukelko, CA, is a Partner in MNP’s Taxation Services group in Winnipeg. Specializing in Canadian and international taxation, Michael helps clients develop tax-efficient structures for carrying on business in Canada and abroad and assists with transfer pricing planning so clients can efficiently meet their obligations and minimize their global tax burdens.

Over more than 20 years Michael has worked extensively with agri-businesses, manufacturers and multinational organizations within a broad range of industries. He has developed significant expertise in maximizing Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credits, allowing clients to use innovation to increase efficiency and productivity as cost-effectively as possible. He also spent more than five years as the Canadian tax director of a U.S. based Fortune 500 company.

Michael works extensively with his clients to develop in-depth knowledge about their businesses, challenges and goals. A trusted business advisor as well as a specialized tax resource, he works to ensure his clients have access to the advice and assistance they need in order to achieve their strategic objectives. He takes pride in giving his clients the assurance that they are minimizing their taxes and, when it comes to transfer pricing, meeting documentation requirements and avoiding double taxation.

Michael received his Chartered Accountant (CA) certification in 1987 after earning a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting (with distinction) from the University of Manitoba. In 1994, he completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-depth Tax Course.
