Biography:

Trevor Sprague, CA, is a Partner in MNP’s Taxation Services group.  Working out of the Winnipeg office, Trevor helps public and private companies proactively manage their tax risks by identifying problems before transactions are executed.  Using this approach, Trevor delivers practical solutions to his clients that are timely, effective, and efficient.

Adept at solving challenging technical problems, Trevor delivers a wide range of Canadian tax services.  As one of the Firm’s national knowledge leaders in accounting for income taxes, Trevor helps clients and their auditors meet important financial reporting obligations with speed and precision.  He also advises clients regularly on corporate reorganizations, cross-border tax issues, structuring and reporting outbound investments, tax audit strategy, and multi-jurisdictional Canadian tax compliance.

Trevor takes pride in giving clients confidence through rigorous technical analysis and excellent professional judgement. He makes a point of responding quickly when difficulties are encountered so that the decision-making process can continue with minimal disruption to business objectives.

Designated a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1997, Trevor holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors Business Administration) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario. He has a keen interest in public affairs and ran for Parliament in 2000.  Trevor is a past chair of The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and supports his community now by volunteering in various capacities.
