Biography:

Annie Storey, CA, is a Partner in MNP’s Assurance Services group in Vancouver. She specializes is serving clients in the film and television industry, as well as public companies.

Annie plays a major role in providing assurance services to public companies in a wide range of industries including natural resources, manufacturing technology and pharmaceuticals. She assists clients in meeting regulatory requirements in both Canada and the U.S. and is proficient in the areas of Canadian and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards.

Annie also has several years of experience in the film and entertainment industry. Her involvement has included pre-financing and budgeting activities, production and post-production accounting, assurance and audit, tax credit preparation and filing, personal and corporate tax, and acting as liaison with CRA auditors and other regulatory organizations.

Before joining MNP, Annie spent several years in public practice with international and mid-sized CA firms in the areas of assurance and quality control. She has also held teaching positions with BCIT and the CA School of Business; controllership positions in manufacturing and entertainment; and independent management and consulting service-provider positions. This broad base of experience gives her a unique ability to understand her clients’ needs and objectives. Attracted to challenges, Annie helps her clients with complicated issues and takes pride in her ability to develop innovative methods to solve problems and achieve goals.

Annie was certified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) after obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University with majors in finance and international business. She regularly volunteers on boards of non-profit and charitable organizations.
