Biography:
Robert Campbell is a Director of Aboriginal Services for the MNP based out of Winnipeg serving the Niche in a variety of capacities and both a Nation and regional level.
Robert has over 25 years of experience having participated in a broad range of senior roles in both the public and private sector with a dedicated focus on community, economic and business development. As a former National Director to both the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) and the Council for the Advancement of Native Development Officers (CANDO) Robert has gained unique insight on key issues and best practices on business and economic development.
As Vice President of Corporate Development for Tribal Councils Investment Group of Manitoba Inc. (TCIG) Robert has been a key member of a highly diversified and successful Aboriginal Corporation. These past positions are accentuated by his past role as the Provincial Coordinator of Community Development Corporations (CDC), Community Roundtables and the Community Works Loan Program (CWLP) for the Province of Manitoba.
Robert’s work experience coupled with Board involvements that include a wide range of organizations from the Manitoba Law Society to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation to the Chair of the Progressive Aboriginal Relations Jury all culminate into a very comprehensive set of skills and knowledge related to MNP’s Aboriginal Niche services. Some key areas of knowledge and practice are in community and economic development, business development, marketing and communication and strategic planning. Some key sectors of involvement have included municipal and First Nations government, development corporations, national Aboriginal organizations, transportation, hospitality, marketing, wholesale, health claims processing, fuel supply, investments, acquisitions and procurement.
Robert develops very close and personal bonds with client groups and generally creates an affinity very quickly. He has strong interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a high degree of empathy and can usually identify very well with a client and their needs. He has a varied and extensive command of Aboriginal issues, services and related subject matter. Having worked and lived all across Canada he has good general knowledge about many environments in Canada and to that end enjoys working in all settings.
