Biography:

Ryan P. Mackiewich, CA, is the SR&ED Practice Leader for MNP. Located in MNP’s Kelowna office, Ryan has over 14 years experience providing tax solutions to his clients in the technology and manufacturing sectors.

Ryan prides himself on maintaining a close relationship with his clients by being accessible, responsive and accountable. Committed to each of his client’s success, Ryan helps them with the SR&ED ITC claim process to ensure a desired outcome with the Canadian Revenue Agency. This hands-on approach involves everything from assisting with the technical write-up, to identifying eligible expenditures and accumulating information to support and maximize the claim. Ryan has been involved with claims ranging in size from hundreds of thousands of dollars for small private companies to claims in the hundreds of million dollars for large public companies.

Ryan graduated from the University of British Columbia with a B.Comm. before receiving his CA designation. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C. (ICABC). A leader in his industry, Ryan has presented on SR&ED eligibility in conjunction with the CRA to various groups. He also assisted and provided input to the SR&ED Steering Committee, which led to the publication of the CRA’s Recognizing Experimental Development Application Policy.
