Surviving an Internal Investigation: What can we learn from the SNC-Lavalin matter?

SNC-Lavalin has maintained it was not involved with the plot and that it had done nothing wrong with respect to its Libyan operations. Just last week, it announced an independent investigation into $35-million worth of improperly documented payments related to construction projects "and certain other contracts" in the last quarter of 2011.
