Calgary, AB July 24, 2006 – Meyers Norris Penny LLP has just received the Oscar equivalent of the North American Accounting Marketing Awards. The Calgarybased firm won in the Best Corporate Identity category at the Association for Accounting Marketing’s annual awards competition in Denver on June 15. MNP was the only Canadian firm to win an award.
MNP introduced a brand refresh over the past year that emphasized the firm’s strong Western Canadian values. The only Top 10 national chartered accounting firm based in Western Canada, MNP embraces the West’s commitment to entrepreneurialism, friendliness, and building a strong relationship with clients.
MNP’s relationshipbased approach became the foundation of the brand refresh, and was conveyed through a steaming coffee mug supported by the positioning line, ‘Finding the Right Answer Starts Here’. MNP developed the awardwinning campaign with the assistance of Zero Gravity, a Calgarybased marketing firm.
“We’ve learned the best business advice is delivered when you truly know your clients. To do that successfully, you need to take the time to sit down with your clients and really listen to them. What better way to do that than over a cup of coffee?” says Randy Mowat, MNP’s vicepresident of marketing.
The Association for Accounting Marketing is a trade association that provides marketing support and resources to their 600 members across North America. The AAM holds an annual awards show to honour the best marketers in the industry. This is the second award MNP has won at the AAM Awards; the firm was for Best Newsletter in 2003.
