Anticipating major growth, accounting firm Andrews to join Meyers Norris Penny LLP
Maple Ridge, B.C. - Oct. 31, 2007 – Fraser Valley’s planned Golden Ears Bridge will have a much bigger impact than simply connecting the communities of Langley and Maple Ridge; increased traffic from the bridge is expected to result in many new businesses opening along the busy route. Local accounting firm Andrews Brown Maroney (ABM) is already taking steps to meet that anticipated growth: ABM is merging with Meyers Norris Penny LLP (MNP) starting Jan.1, 2008.
“The new corridor will generate a lot of growth in the community, and owner-managers will be looking for advice on how to manage that growth effectively,” explains Greg Andrews, CA, a partner with ABM. “Joining Meyers Norris Penny will allow us to offer clients more resources to do that, while still providing the friendly, personalized service they have come to expect.” ABM will operate under the MNP name.
In addition to traditional accounting and tax services, MNP offers a full suite of business advisory services, such as corporate finance, management consulting and business transition services.
According to MNP chief executive officer Daryl Ritchie, FCA, the B.C marketplace is tremendously strong. “This merger is a key element in MNP’s long-term strategy to continue expanding into the Lower Mainland,” says Ritchie. He adds that ABM’s experience serving the real estate and franchise industries will be an added strength for MNP, as both are important areas of expansion for the firm.
MNP entered the B.C. marketplace in 2003 and will have 13 locations across the province as of Jan.1, 2008.
