Deloraine, MB – Dec. 5, 2007 – Deborah M. Calverley Certified General Accountant Professional Corp. has merged with Meyers Norris Penny LLP (MNP) as of Dec. 1, 2007 and is operating under the MNP name. MNP is the only Top Ten national chartered accountancy and advisory firm based in Western Canada.
Deborah Calverley says the merger will be a tremendous advantage for clients in southwestern Manitoba. “Over the past few years, our practice has grown very quickly, and by partnering with MNP we can provide a much wider range of services to our clients, particularly in the agricultural sector.”
MNP’s strong commitment to its Western Canadian roots and values is also appealing. “MNP doesn’t just believe in delivering great customer service, it’s something they practice every day, and as a sole practitioner that’s been really important to me,” she says.
MNP Chief Executive Officer Daryl Ritchie, FCA asserts the merger is an ideal fit with the firm’s desire to expand its service to the region. “Deloraine and the surrounding area have a very strong economy, and we’re looking forward to helping clients grow their businesses and take advantage of the exciting opportunities in agriculture, oil and gas services, and other industries.”
Ritchie adds Calverley’s agricultural expertise is an excellent complement to MNP’s extensive agricultural practice. MNP currently has more than 14,000 agricultural clients across Western Canada. As part of the merger, the MNP team is now operating from the former office of Deborah Calverley, located at 130 Broadway Street.
