Merger will provide local ownermanagers with wider range of advisory services
Lethbridge, AB – (Aug. 14, 2007) – Watkinson Hanhart LLP, Chartered Accountants is merging with Meyers Norris Penny LLP (MNP), the only Top 10 national chartered accountancy and advisory firm based in Western Canada. Effective Sept. 1, 2007, Watkinson Hanhart LLP is operating under the MNP name.
According to MNP chief executive officer Daryl Ritchie, FCA, the merger will enable the firms to provide a more diverse range of advisory services to owner-managers operating in Lethbridge.
“Watkinson Hanhart LLP has served the Lethbridge community for over 40 years, and has a proven track record meeting the needs of local owner-managed businesses. Owner-managers have always comprised MNP’s largest client base, and we look forward to expanding our presence in this important market by offering owner-managers more in-depth services locally.”
Ritchie says joining the Watkinson Hanhart LLP presence already in Taber will enable MNP to increase its focus on the Taber market, particularly in the areas of agriculture and oil and gas services. “MNP has a team of specialists with extensive experience in these markets, and we’re committed to further expansion in these areas.”
