Employee Assistance Programs: Enhancing Effectiveness & Accountability

In today’s workplaces, a growing number of organizations are recognizing the value of offering an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for their people and frequently for family members as well through an Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP).

EAPs can play a key role in helping employees and their eligible family members address personal issues that, without outside assistance, could have a negative impact on work performance. While the issues are unique to the individual, they may range from feelings of stress, anxiety or relationship difficulties to financial crisis or substance abuse.

EAPs provide employer-funded, confidential, counselling services that enable employees to enhance their personal well-being. This, in turn, leads to fewer absences at work, reduced safety risks, more positive and productive team members and increased staff retention.

The success of EAPs depends upon ongoing, effective management and accountability. MNP’s experienced human resource professionals can manage and audit your EAP ensuring effective, accountable, ‘round the clock’ support for your people.
