Wednesday, AUGUST 29, 2012 – CALGARY, AB –Toronto-based firm PSTG, specializing in serving the public sector, will merge with MNP--one of Canada’s largest chartered accountancy and consulting firms-- effective October 1, 2012. While MNP was looking to expand its public sector practice, PSTG was looking for an opportunity to provide clients with more services.
“We are very excited about joining MNP,” said David Little, President and CEO of PSTG. “The merger of MNP and PSTG will instantly bring a powerful set of capabilities and a much needed freshness and energy to the public sector consulting market in Southern Ontario, and across Canada. We will now have all of the skills and experience to guide clients through the toughest transformation projects, and will equal any of the traditional consulting firms in terms of depth and expertise. This is an extremely strong alliance.”
Established in 1998, PSTG has grown to become a respected and internationally recognized management consulting company of three partners and ten staff who specialize in delivering business transformation solutions to the broader public sector market. Backed by a long and successful track record in improving the quality and efficiency of public sector service delivery, PSTG has been involved in strategy formulation and service transformation for publicly funded clients across Canada and in more than 20 countries.
“Over the years PSTG has evolved and matured into a highly regarded, globally recognized company that continues to raise the bar when it comes to consulting services,” says Daryl Ritchie, CEO, MNP. “Not only do they offer exceptional skills and experience, they are like MNP in that they bring attention to detail and a personal touch to each engagement. We couldn’t be more pleased about having them join the MNP family.”
MNP credits its strategic mergers, value-added services, and corporate culture for catapulting the firm to lead with the highest year-over-year growth rates of any of Canada’s top accounting firms. For five consecutive years, MNP has also been recognized as one of the 50 Best Employers in Canada by AON Hewitt.
“We have low client and employee turnover and are attracting some of the best professionals in our industry. Bringing in like-minded firms like PSTG ensures we continue to maintain the corporate culture of our firm, while addressing our clients’ most pressing business challenges with innovative and personalized solutions,” says Ritchie.
PSTG is a growing company that was looking to join a firm that could enhance its current service offerings while providing an expanded national and global reach to clients. “MNP has a large national presence and access to hundreds of MNP experts and specialists, as well as access to a global network of accounting firms and affiliations through Praxity—an international alliance of independent accounting firms,” explains Little. “By joining MNP, we are adding more resources and experience to better serve the needs of our clients wherever their business may take them.”
The PSTG team of 13 will move into MNP’s downtown Toronto location at 701 - 85 Richmond Street West.
