Accreditation and Incorporation Support

Accreditation and Incorporation Support

Synopsis
1 Minute Read

We collaborate with Indigenous governments and organizations across Canada to help redesign health systems that better meet the holistic needs of members.

Project Background

MNP was engaged to support a client through the process of becoming accredited as part of their health transformation journey. Accreditation improves the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of a health organization’s structure, processes, and outcomes.

Solution

MNP supported the health department in becoming an accredited organization. The key components for obtaining accreditation included:

  • Policy development
  • Clear documentation of roles and responsibilities
  • Working with organization program leads, HR coordinator, finance controller, and health director to develop a strategic plan
  • Identifying internal and external linkages and partnerships
  • Developing an emergency response plan
  • Training staff on the accreditation process
  • Developing a five-year health and wellness plan

Becoming accredited was one of the first steps in the process of becoming incorporated, another goal of the health department.

Outcomes

The client successfully became accredited in October 2021 and is now, with the support of MNP, beginning the process of becoming incorporated.
