Strategic Planning and Health Funding Analysis

Strategic Planning and Health Funding Analysis

Synopsis
1 Minute Read

We collaborate with Indigenous governments and organizations across Canada to help redesign health systems that better meet the holistic needs of members.

Project Background

MNP was engaged to support a client in setting goals for the organization and creating a plan to achieve them. The intent of developing a strategic plan is to ensure they are growing and meeting the needs of the community.

Solution

MNP supported the client in facilitating the development of their five-year strategic plan, including updating their vision, mission, and values along with renewing their strategic priorities (short and long-term) and goals for each strategic priority.

Following the completion of the strategic plan, MNP was engaged to determine the total health funding requirements for the proceeding 10 years to 2031/32. The projected health funding requirements were estimated to ensure staffing-to-population ratios were aligned with best practices.

Outcomes

The client was able to resend the analysis to Indigenous Services Canada to secure additional health funding for the community of Onion Lake First Nation through a treaty-based funding agreement.
