On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the resources industry on North Vancouver Island. As a key member of the leadership team reporting directly to the shareholders, the CFO will lead the development and implementation of a high-performance finance and administration function. He or she will bean effective organizational front-runner who will work closely with the leadership team in driving the organization towards achieving its strategic objectives.
The CFO will support, and foster key partnerships providing clear & concise financial information to their stakeholders while cultivating and maintaining effective strategic relationships and networks within the local communities, industry partners and their First Nation’s neighbors.

As part of the Management team, you will have demonstrated experience supporting and enhancing current financial strategies. You will also possess a collaborative leadership style that brings innovation to finance, has real-time information and enables the organization to make strategic decisions. A professional accounting designation CPA, with a minimum of ten years senior management experience in a multi-faceted business supporting the reporting/analysis, risk management, regulatory compliance and systems development and leadership of a growingorganization are requirements of the position. Experience functioning at both strategic and operational levels, possessing a collaborative leadership style with a proven track record of implementing structured processes and controls in a dynamic and changing environment including the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear recommendations is key to this position. Previous experience in the resources industry along with a robust understanding of financial issues and opportunities affecting entrepreneurial companies that carry significant assets would be considered valuable strengths.
