Steve Funk CPA, CA
Director, Ag Risk Management Resources
Steve Funk, CPA, CA, is MNP’s Director, Farm Income Programs. Steve is dedicated to helping agricultural producers understand the AgriStability Program and optimize their coverages and payments from the Program within the context of their overall farm insurance risk management strategy.
Based in Lethbridge, AB, Steve has spent more than 20 years working exclusively with owner-operated agriculture businesses. As chair of MNP’s Farm Income Programs Service Leader committee, he oversees the provision of AgriStability, AgriInvest, and Ag Risk Management Projector™ (ARMP) services for the entire firm.
Steve has collaborated with various producer groups, government Administrators and policy makers on issues relating to AgriStability/ AgriInvest Program design and assessing practice. He has done extensive research and written technical reports on AgriStability and AgriInvest and has provided consulting and Appeals support on complex Program scenarios for producers from across Canada.
He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1989, after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
