International Tax

Tim Bloos, CPA, CA, is a Partner in MNP’s International Tax Services group. Tim specializes in international tax, advising Canadian-based companies with foreign operations, as well as companies interested in expanding into foreign jurisdictions.

Working closely with clients, Tim consults on a range of complex tax issues and delivers tax-effective structuring for Canadian companies moving offshore or into the U.S. He manages the implementation of offshore structures, provides guidance on transfer pricing and assists in planning for successful international expansion.

Tim works with companies in a range of industries, including mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, sales and distribution, and technology. Committed to his clients, he delivers attentive and timely service and takes pride in helping them manage their foreign and U.S. business matters in a tax-effective manner.

Tim is a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) who has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1992. In 1994, he received the Bachelor of Common Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Civil Laws (BCL) degrees from McGill University, and has since been called to the Bar in Ontario and New York. He also holds Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Economics degrees from the University of Regina. An accomplished speaker, Tim has presented at the Canadian Tax Foundation, as well as other national and international conferences, on the subject of cross-border tax planning.

He is the volunteer director of Ballet Creole and a Business instructor at Centennial College.
