Managing Director

Chris is a Managing Director with MNP’s Consulting and Corporate Finance Practice in Toronto. With more than 25 years of experience in the technology, software as a service (SaaS) and technology-enabled services industries, Chris serves as a trusted independent advisor, board member and shareholder for growth stage companies. In particular, he works with technology, software, SaaS and technology-enabled businesses in the financial services, healthcare, utilities and retail industries.

Chris has also served as a sell- and buy-side advisor, and has been a direct investor and acquirer of technology and software businesses as well as been an entrepreneur, operator and management team member of several start-ups and high growth, mid-sized companies.

Chris has advised hundreds of founders, CEOs, executive teams, venture capitalists, private equity and board members.

His services include evaluating competitive and digital strategies, designing and implementing organic go-to-market and merger and acquisition (M&A)-based growth initiatives, preparing and presenting strategic and financial investment theses to boards and investment committees, executing on fundraising plans, recapitalizing for growth, and divestitures and carve outs. He also does due diligence, pre- and post- close M&A advisory, organizational design, post-acquisition planning, synergies realization, performance management, equity value creation realization, and liquidity planning.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) in business management from the Ted Rogers School of Business at Ryerson University in 1994. He is active in the technology industry, including industry association and company board work.
