Doug Tyce, CPA, CA, is a Partner and the B.C. Leader of MNP’s Real Estate and Construction Services team on Vancouver Island. Based in Nanaimo, Doug provides accounting, tax, financial planning and business management advice to private enterprises and family-owned businesses in the real estate and construction sectors. His clients include real estate developers, builders, sub-trades, property managers, real estate agents and other supporting professionals.

With more than 20 years of experience, Doug understands the unique challenges of the real estate and construction industries. He excels at delivering creative solutions that allow his clients to meet their goals, helping them maximize wealth while keeping taxes to a minimum. He assists his clients in areas such as tax planning regarding incorporation, income splitting, succession planning, the purchase and sale of businesses and estate planning.

Doug’s clients rely on him to help them structure their business to facilitate various types of projects and transactions, as well as assess the validity of deals and arrange financing. A trusted advisor, Doug provides ongoing management consulting to assist with job costing, managing working capital and maximizing profitability. He is committed to building and nurturing long-term relationships and takes pride in helping his clients plan for the future.

Doug is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) designated in 1995. He completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth Tax course in 2007. Doug is an active member of the Vancouver Island Construction Association and its sister associations across B.C. He is also a member of the B.C. Construction Association Finance & Audit Committee as well as the past director for the Canadian Home Builders Association Vancouver Island.
