Gerald Blackman, CPA, CA, CBA, CVA, CFF, CFE, is a Partner specializing in business valuations and financial litigation. Based in Montréal, Gerald has rendered business and securities valuation and financial litigation services for the past 30 years to private and public companies. He possesses industry experience in addition to his earlier professional career with an international accounting firm.

Gerald has participated in the valuation of shares and business interests in a variety of industries in both Canada and the U.S. He has prepared feasibility studies and technical reports in connection with securities commission filings in various provinces, has testified as an expert witness in over 40 cases before the Québec Superior Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick and has appeared before representatives of the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan.

Gerald was designated a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA *) in 1971 after earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University. He was designated a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) in 1994, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) in 1995 and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) in 2013. Gerald was a Partner of Wise, Blackman LLP prior to its merger with MNP.
