A Business Advisor with MNP’s Assurance and Accounting Services group in Timmins, Jim is the Lead of Indigenous Services for Timmins. Down to earth and approachable, Jim helps his clients overcome challenges and identify opportunities for increased success. He delivers customized advice and solutions on a broad range of issues to help his clients achieve their goals.

Jim, who has worked in both public practice and industry since 1989, helps First Nations and First Nation enterprises, public sector organizations and private enterprises. He works closely with a wide range of Indigenous clients, including rate-regulated utilities, not-for-profit organizations and for-profit corporations and limited partnerships. He also works with municipalities, school boards, hospitals and government organizations.

Jim helps his clients with personal and corporate tax planning and compliance. He delivers a comprehensive suite of assurance services under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) and Not-for-profit organization (NPO) standards. Jim connects clients to the Firm’s broad-based expertise when specialized knowledge is required.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm Honours) from Carleton University. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1999.

Jim has served on the executive and boards of directors for a number of local sports organizations.
