Joe Wilkie, CPA, CMA, CIRP, LIT, is a Senior Vice President and member of MNP’s Corporate and Consumer Insolvency team in Halifax. Drawing on more than 35 years of experience, Joe helps corporations and individuals find relief from the pressures of being unable to repay debt and obtain a fresh start.

Joe works with consumers and corporations in debt as well as with creditors to find solutions for resolving financial problems. Nonjudgmental and respectful, he ensures clients understand all options available to them so they can make the right decision for their unique situation. When required, he guides clients through proposals, bankruptcy and receivership, making the process as stress-free as possible as they move toward a brighter financial future.

After earning a diploma in accounting from the College of Cape Breton, Joe became a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 1987. He also holds the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) designations. Joe has sat on numerous boards and committees and is currently a trustee representative on the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Oral Board of Examination and an organizer of the Nova Scotia Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals’ annual golf tournament.
