Marcel Gagnon, FCPA, FCA, is a Partner and Business Advisor with MNP in Thunder Bay. Marcel draws on more than 35 years of experience to deliver comprehensive assurance and accounting solutions and strategic business advice to clients, with a focus on helping them achieve their goals.

Marcel leads audits for a number of not-for-profit clients in the healthcare, social service, Indigenous governance and housing fields. He has served as partner in charge for engagements of various sizes and ensures the timely reporting and compliance with the accountability issues of financial reporting in accordance with Canadian auditing standards.

Marcel’s clients include owners of small businesses in various industries, including construction, retail sales, restaurants and health services. His services include preparing financial statements and corporate tax returns, assisting in obtaining financing, debt restructuring, corporate reorganization, personal and corporate tax planning, succession planning, profitability and feasibility studies and cash resource management.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from Lakehead University in 1979, Marcel became a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA). He is a board member for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Thunder Bay Branch, treasurer of the board for CMHA Ontario, past Finance Committee chair for St. Joseph’s Care Group and former treasurer of the Thunder Bay Lung Association.
