<p><strong>Michelle O’Brien-Moran, CPA, CA</strong>, is a Partner with MNP’s Calgary office and the tax leader of MNP’s Hutterite Services group. Michelle has spent more than 20 years as an agricultural tax expert, focusing on Hutterite tax issues for the last eight years. She provides specialty tax planning services to owner-managed businesses, agriculture clients and Hutterite colonies.</p>
<p>Michelle has advised clients on tax planning, corporate reorganization, including the utilization of family trusts, and estate and succession planning. She takes great pride in providing superior service by helping her clients develop tax strategies that work best for their individual situations.</p>
<p>A recognized authority in her field, Michelle has shared her expertise with media, professional associations and other key audiences and has presented at national events on income tax succession planning for the family farm and on tax planning strategies. She has been a tutor for CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax courses and shares her extensive tax knowledge by teaching internal courses at MNP.</p>
<p>Michelle received her Bachelor of Science degree from Brandon University in 1992. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA), qualifying in 1995, and she completed the In-Depth Tax Course in 1997. Michelle has also completed 12 marathons.</p>
