Rachelle Burt is a Business Advisor with MNP’s Aboriginal Services and Forestry & Forest Products teams. Working out of the Campbell River office, Rachelle utilizes her unique skill set to offer advisory and remote accounting services to First Nation limited partnerships across B.C.

Rachelle has been developing solid relationships with B.C. coastal and interior First Nations since 2008. Before joining MNP, Rachelle founded a company specializing in Aboriginal and forestry business where she helped implement operational accounting controls in new forestry ventures. Rachelle continues to deliver a broad range of accounting solutions using language that is easy to follow, making her an ideal advisor for growing Aboriginal businesses and partnerships.

Drawing on more than 15 years of experience in forestry, Rachelle is involved with project development and cost controls, inventory tracking, private financing negotiations, financial recovery and cash flow planning. She sets up revenue sharing agreements between business partners as well as creates feasibility studies and budgets for new ventures. Rachelle regularly reports business financials to boards of directors, provides production forecasts, and delivers training to bookkeepers in First Nation offices, businesses and societies.

Rachelle studied business and accounting in London, ON, before beginning a career in corporate accounting. Committed to advancing the economic interests of First Nations clients, Rachelle is an active member of the Aboriginal Affairs Committee for the Truck Loggers Association.
