Trevor Sprague, CPA, CA, is a Partner in MNP’s Tax Services group. Working out of the Winnipeg office, Trevor helps public and private companies proactively manage their tax risks by identifying problems before transactions are executed. Using this approach, he delivers practical solutions that are timely, effective and efficient.

Adept at solving challenging technical problems, Trevor delivers a wide range of Canadian tax services. As one of the firm’s national knowledge leaders in accounting for income taxes, he helps clients and their auditors meet important financial reporting obligations with speed and precision. He also advises clients on corporate reorganizations, cross-border tax issues, structuring and reporting outbound investments, tax audit strategy and multi-jurisdictional Canadian tax compliance.

Trevor takes pride in giving clients confidence through rigorous technical analysis and excellent professional judgment. He makes a point of responding quickly when difficulties are encountered so the decision-making process can continue with minimal disruption to business objectives.

Trevor is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1997, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors Business Administration) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He has a keen interest in public affairs and ran for Parliament in 2000. Trevor is a past chair of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and a former Governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation. He supports his community by volunteering in various capacities.
