MNP careers are Different by Design. As an entrepreneurial firm, we truly believe there are no limits to where your career can go.
Success in business starts with a strong team and a common vision. That’s why we are pleased to announce the team from Deloitte’s Prince George practice has joined MNP.
Serving clients in Prince George and across the North for more than 40 years, the team members from Deloitte ‘s Prince George office are a like-minded group of professionals who share similar values and a commitment to helping clients succeed. By bringing together our combined expertise serving private enterprises, public sector and not-for-profit organizations, First Nations and Indigenous organizations, we continue to build the best team possible to meet your business needs.
Deloitte’s PG office has roots that go back to 1913 and the firm has been operating under the Deloitte umbrella for more than 40 years. Their team serves clients across central and northern B.C., including the Okanagan, Quesnel, Prince George, Vanderhoof, Burns Lake, Smithers, Terrace, Prince Rupert, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, and Dawson Creek, as well as Nunavut.
With the transition, MNP welcomed 21 new team members, four of whom— Cindy Thomson, CPA, CA; Greg Sale, CPA, CA; Valerie Eberherr, CPA, CA, and Lorna Wendling, CPA, CA—joined the MNP partnership. Cindy Thomson says what most excites them about being part of the MNP family is the firm’s relationship-based culture.
“MNP offers the best of both worlds—the scope and services of a national firm together with the culture, personalized approach and community commitment of a local office,” Thomson explained. “Joining MNP is a perfect example of how together we can provide our clients the edge they need to stay competitive and overcome current business and industry challenges. We think it’s a good fit for our clients and our team and we are optimistic about the future.”
The acquisition marks the latest chapter in MNP’s continued growth across the North. Since opening a small office in Prince George in January 2015 with just seven team members, the firm has expanded to include full-time offices in Vanderhoof, Terrace, Williams Lake and Quesnel, as well as satellite locations in Fort St. James and Kitimat. The firm has also had an office in Fort St. John since 2006, which continues to operate as part of the firm’s Peace Region.
“We are excited to welcome our newest team members in PG and look forward to continuing to invest in the North to serve the needs of our clients and communities,” said Jameel Sayani, who was recently appointed Regional Managing Partner for MNP’s Northern B.C. Region.
The new team will remain at their current location at 299 Victoria Street, Prince George (HSBC Building) in the short-term and MNP will transition our two offices together in the near future.
