Jim McEvoy, CPA (NY), is a Partner with MNP’s U.S. Corporate Tax Practice in Calgary. Jim draws on nearly two and a half decades of tax experience working with multinational corporations in the U.S. and Canada, including as Partner at one of the Big 4 firms. He is a results-driven professional who delivers sound advice and practical solutions to help his clients achieve greater success.

Jim focuses on U.S. corporate cross-border tax issues, advising clients as they establish and manage businesses in the U.S. He works closely with clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, real estate, IT, oil and gas services, professional services and pharmaceuticals.

Jim also advises on financing structures, mergers and acquisitions and due diligence, federal and state tax planning and compliance, investment in U.S. real estate and U.S. sales and U.S. tax planning.

Jim graduated from the University of Albany with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting in 1995 and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Taxation in 1996. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licenced in the State of New York.
