A member of MNP’s Tax Services team in Calgary, John-Michael helps his clients minimize the tax they pay and develop innovative plans to achieve their personal tax, business, and life goals. 

John-Michael helps professionals – including doctors, lawyers and accountants – and a wide range of businesses, including restaurants, oilfield service companies, construction companies and mechanics, as well as individuals looking to transfer wealth to the next generation. He advises on Canadian tax for business owners, minimizing tax on the sale of private companies, succession and estate planning, and post-mortem planning using trusts and partnerships. 

John-Michael delivers presentations on a variety of topics, including new tax rules and technical topics for professional colleagues.

John-Michael earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm Honours) from the University of British Columbia.  He is a Chartered Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2012 has completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Courses.
