Karen Sands, CPA, CA, TEP, is a Tax Partner with MNP in Kingston, where she has practiced public accounting since 1989.
Karen advises corporations, business owners and individuals on a broad range of tax issues. On a daily basis she works directly with clients to minimize income tax. Estate planning, cross border planning and US personal tax compliance are also areas of expertise for Karen.
She works one-on-one with clients in a wide range of industries, including professional services, health care, consumer products and retail, agriculture and biotechnology, manufacturing and distribution, and real estate and construction.
Karen graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1992. She was designated a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) in 2003.
Karen is the Treasurer of The University Club at Queen’s Inc. and tutors at the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course.
