Walter heads up MNP’s Windsor Tax group, delivering tailored Canadian and U.S. corporate and personal tax services, estate planning and assistance in government grants, including research and development, to clients throughout Windsor Essex County.

Walter works one-on-one with his clients to provide estate planning, corporate tax planning and compliance, and personal financial planning for corporate executives and owner-managers. He draws on more than three decades of experience delivering auditing, accounting, tax and business advisory services to a variety of clients, including many privately held companies.

Walter started his career at an international accounting firm in Windsor, progressing to a Big Four firm prior to joining MNP.

Walter graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in economics in 1987 and a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) in accounting in 1990. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA), qualifying in 1992. Walter completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax course, the Canadian Securities Course in 1996 and earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1998.

Walter currently chairs the Windsor Port Authority board of directors and the Essex Golf and Country Club finance committee.
