Located in the geographic centre of northwest British Columbia, MNP’s Terrace office services a broad range of clients from communities across the region including Terrace, Smithers, Kitimat, Prince Rupert, Stewart, Dease Lake, Haida Gwaii, the Nass Valley, the Hazeltons and others.
Our local team includes four partners – each with more than 20 years of experience in public practice – and more than 15 additional professionals and support staff. As part of a Canadian firm with more than 60 offices across Canada, we offer clients a small firm culture and in-depth understanding of our local community and economic conditions, backed by the expertise and resources of a large national firm.
MNP entered the Terrace market in February 2016 by merging with McAlpine & Co., a well-respected firm that has been providing professional services to clients in northwestern B.C. since 1969. True to our roots, MNP believes in the value of relationships and our team is committed to providing close, personal attention to our clients. We view every client relationship like a partnership, and truly believe that our success is a result of your success.
MNP’s client base in Terrace includes diverse private enterprises of all sizes, public sector and not-for profit organizations and First Nations. Through our local team members, clients also gain access to our extensive network of regional and national professionals with expertise advising many of our region’s most important economic sectors, including agriculture and food, forestry and forest products, mining, professionals, public sector and real estate and construction.
MNP’s Senior Economist Susan Mowbray was the lead consultant for the State of the North Report published by the Northern Development Initiative Trust in January 2018.
The report provides comprehensive economic data and analysis for B.C.’s central and northern regions to assist local business and community leaders with planning and investment decisions. It includes traditional economic indicators, overviews of core economic sectors such as agriculture, aquaculture, energy, forestry and mining, and regional profiles for the Northwest, Northeast, North Central and Cariboo-Chilcotin / Lillooet areas.
