David Bouchard

David is the Managing Director, Capital Advisory, with MNP's Corporate Finance Services group in Québec. He brings to his role more than a decade of banking experience in corporate finance, private equity, and investments.

David is known for his pragmatic approach to complex and challenging situations, which helps his clients clearly understand the issues at hand and how to address them. Over the course of his career, David has led several transactions where his creative approach allowed the development of solutions to the most difficult types of situations.

His areas of focus include bank and subordinated debt financing, management buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, stress financing, and greenfield project financing.

Bilingual in French and English, David earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with High Distinction in finance and accounting from Syracuse University. He is involved in the community, including as a member of the Québec City committee of Réseau Capital — the Investment Capital Network of Québec, and as president of the board of the Portneuf Amateur Sport Foundation (Fondation d’aide au sport amateur de Portneuf).

Prior to his professional career, David earned a full scholarship to play Division 1 football for the Syracuse University Orangemen. During his post-graduate studies at Laval University, he was an all-Canadian offensive lineman for the Rouge et Or. His football career ended after a stint with the Montréal Alouettes. He still coaches high school football.
