Phil Reisinger, CPA, CA

Phil is a Partner and MNP’s National Leader – Internal Controls over Financial Reporting Services, Enterprise Risk Services, based in Calgary. He brings to his role more than 16 years of experience with chief executive officer (CEO) and chief financial officer (CFO) certification requirements, internal controls, and business process improvement initiatives.

Phil works closely with clients to design, evaluate, and enhance disclosure controls and procedures and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404, National Instrument 52-109, and other CEO / CFO certification standards.

Phil takes a highly collaborative, hands-on approach, spending significant time at client offices and operational sites to develop a thorough understanding of their operations, corporate structure, governance frameworks, and organizational culture. He has supported more than 100 public companies and multinational organizations with multiple business segments — in evaluating, implementing, and optimizing ICFR programs. He has also helped with a wide range of audit and assurance engagements and internal audit engagements, providing clients with integrated, risk-based insights across their control environments. His work focuses not only on compliance, but also on identifying practical opportunities to streamline business processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve operational efficiency.

Phil earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in accounting from Mount Royal University in 2011. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2013.
