Seyed is a member of MNP’s Digital Services team in Toronto. With nearly two decades of cybersecurity and information technology experience, Seyed works closely with clients in the areas of cybersecurity and privacy risks, governance models, frameworks, and technologies. He helps organizations transform their cybersecurity practices by leveraging people, processes, and technologies to protect organizational confidentiality, preserve integrity, and promote the availability of information and information technology assets. He is a specialist in security operations, cyber threat intelligence, incident handling, digital forensics, and cybersecurity-related regulations.
Seyed helps a wide range of organizations - including those in government, and in the financial services, media, retail, mining, power and utilities, and higher education industries - operationalize, assess and increase the efficacy of their cybersecurity capabilities. He also acts as a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO).
Seyed teaches Cyber Security Incident Management at the University of Toronto, preparing students to apply industry-leading practices and standards to the handling of cybersecurity incidents.
Seyed earned a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Quality Systems Engineering, with a digital forensic focus, from Concordia University in 2009. He holds industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), as well as Government of Canada Secret Level clearance.
