Chris Maxfield, CPA

Chris is a member of MNP’s Assurance and Accounting Services team in Winnipeg. A senior business advisor and leader with 13 years of progressively responsible experience, both in industry and consulting, he primarily helps large private company groups across a range of industries. Chris works closely with management teams and stakeholders to deliver clear, practical insights that support decision making, compliance, and long-term business objectives.

Chris’s experience spans a broad range of assurance and advisory services, including audit and review engagements, non‑audit assurance mandates, and a variety of corporate tax compliance and planning engagements. He regularly supports clients on financial reporting, internal controls, transaction-driven assurance work, and owner-managed business planning.

Chris works extensively with private enterprises across several industries, including automotive dealerships, construction, real estate, manufacturing, and food services. He advises large private groups of companies, often with complex ownership structures and multi-entity reporting requirements. He helps clients with industry-specific accounting, operational and financial risk assessment, and tax planning, and provides succession and growth-oriented advisory support.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) in accounting from the University of Manitoba in 2015. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying in 2017.
