Billy is a member of MNP’s Assurance and Accounting team in Oshawa. Billy is a trusted advisor who proactively identifies and helps resolve his clients’ issues, to help them achieve greater operating efficiencies and their business goals.

Billy serves a broad range of clients, with a focus on the real estate and construction industry - including real estate investment trusts (REITs), property developers, and property managers - as well as the hospitality industry, including hotel owners and hotel brand managers. With significant technical accounting experience in audit, accounting and controls, he understands both private and public company reporting issues for international and Canadian reporting, and helps clients through acquisitions, restructurings, and prospectus transactions.

Experienced in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), and IFRS conversions, Billy’s services also include audits of internal control and information technology environments, listings for both debt and share capital raises, and regulatory compliance and reporting.

Prior to joining MNP, Billy was a director at a Big Four firm.

Billy graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) in accounting in 2008. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2013.
