Gary is a member of MNP’s International Corporate Tax Group in Toronto. He brings extensive technical international tax experience to his role, helping multinational enterprises with Canadian operations with both inbound and outbound international corporate tax planning and compliance issues. He ensures his clients understand the Canadian tax requirements and implications related to their cross-border activity, and that they optimize their tax positions while adhering to Canadian tax requirements and legislation.

Gary’s deep technical knowledge spans a broad spectrum of cross-border Canadian tax issues. He is skilled in advanced tax planning and compliance related to complex aspects of Canadian tax law, with an emphasis on international operations. His experience includes navigating intricate tax treaties and global tax structures.

Gary works with businesses in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, retail, distribution, consulting, and technology. He helps businesses meet their annual tax compliance and reporting obligations, including tax returns, information reporting forms, and tax provisions. He also advises on tax planning, including tax-efficient repatriation and restructuring.

Gary earned an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with Distinction (accounting and co-operative) from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2016, and a Master of Taxation (MTax) from the University of Waterloo in 2019. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying in 2022.
