Kai is a member of MNP’s Enterprise Risk Services group in Toronto. He has a proven track record of supporting high-growth companies with initial public offering readiness and technology assurance, delivering tailored, pragmatic solutions that address complex risk challenges. He helps clients meet their compliance requirements, manage risks, and build trust with stakeholders and business partners.

Kai provides technology assurance, risk advisory, and third-party assurance solutions for mid-market and high-growth organizations in the consumer, financial technology (fintech), technology, and other industries. He focuses on a broad range of IT assurance solutions, including IT Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and National Instrument (NI 52-109) Certification of Disclosure in Annual and Interim Filings, System and Organization Controls (SOC) 1, 2, and 3 reports, IT Internal Audit services, and IT specialized assurance for public and private company audits.

Kai has built a global perspective through roles across Canada and in the U.S., with more than three decades of experience in audit, risk management, and technology advisory, supporting clients in many industries. He spent five years working in Silicon Valley, where he adapted risk solutions for technology companies navigating regulatory changes. His deep experience and client-focused approach make him a solid partner for organizations seeking to strengthen their risk and compliance frameworks. These include ISO 27001, an international standard for information security management systems; National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF); Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL); Control Objectives for Information Technologies (COBIT); and emerging AI governance frameworks.

Kai is passionate about fostering Canadian innovation and excellence, coaching high-growth technology companies and well managed mid-market businesses to achieve national recognition for their achievements.

Kai graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm). He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA). He holds the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation and a Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).

Kai has been a dedicated supporter of the Ride to Conquer Cancer for many years, raising funds and awareness for cancer research.
