Paul Desnoyers, CPA, CGA, LPA, is a Partner and Business Advisor with MNP’s Assurance and Accounting group in Cornwall. Drawing on over 15 years of experience, Paul delivers strategic advice and customized solutions to help his clients achieve their goals.

Paul’s clients include owner-managed businesses in various industries, including transportation, trucking, professional services and food services, as well as not-for-profits and start-ups. His services include conducting audits, reviews and compilations, personal and corporate tax planning and compliance and estate planning as well as advising on a broad range of business issues at all stages of the business life cycle.

Working closely with his clients, Paul helps them gain a stronger understanding of the financial side of their business by explaining concepts in easy-to-understand terms. He believes that having a good grasp of a business’ financial health allows the owner to build on its strengths, improve its weaknesses and have the best chance of creating higher levels of success.

In 2005, Paul earned a Diploma in Business Administration from Durham College, where he specialized in accounting. He received his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from Laurentian University in 2010 and became a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in 2013, qualifying as a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and Licensed Public Accountant (LPA). Paul has completed the CGA Business Valuation Course as well as CPA Canada’s Restructuring Private Corporate Groups and Canadian Auditing Standards courses.

Active in the community, Paul is chair of the board of directors for St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre and treasurer for Team Cornwall as well as an advisor on St. Lawrence College’s Business Program Advisory Committee.
