Northern Building Supply Ltd. and Northern Specialties Ltd.

Swan Valley Consumers Cooperative Ltd. ("SVCC") has acquired two home and building retail and lumber locations. The locations are situated in The Pas and Swan River, Manitoba, Northern Building Supply Ltd. and Northern Specialties Ltd., respectively (collectively the "Northern Building Group"). MNP Corporate Finance acted as exclusive financial advisor to the Northern Building Group in structuring and negotiating this transaction.

This transaction allows the shareholders of the Northern Building Group to initiate their succession strategy, while enabling the continued growth and success of the business in the communities they serve.

The Northern Building Group consists of two locations in The Pas and Swan River, Manitoba. The Locations of the Northern Building Group each include over 9,000 square feet of retail space, a lumber yard and storage facilities to serve its members and customers.

The acquisition enables SVCC to re-enter the home and building business, which will grow their Co-op and provide home and building supplies and services to Co-op members and customers in these communities and across their trading area. This will allow SVCC to respond to the needs of their member communities and expand opportunities for further growth as they continue to build important relationships and partnerships.

Headquartered in Swan River, Manitoba, SVCC is a locally owned retail co-operative with 175 employees serving over 5,200 members with the essential services of food, fuel, agro, and home and building supplies.
