    Ian Craven, CPA, CMA, MBA, is a Partner in MNP’s Winnipeg office. A professional management consultant for more than 30 years, Ian provides economic and business development research and advice to private and public corporations, not-for-profit organizations, Indigenous organizations and government.

    Ian has extensive experience in capital budgeting and cost analysis, with expertise in evaluating large capital projects. His corporate finance expertise includes assessing feasibility, developing plans, assessing acquisitions and negotiating investment and banking. Ian is knowledgeable about the agricultural system in Canada, from farm to export and is experienced with the hospitality, industrial, commercial real estate, retail and agri-food sectors.

    Ian’s agricultural clients include government departments and commodity organizations as well as private businesses. He has completed extensive economic and business development work with Indigenous organizations across Canada, as well as extensive work on governance and structural change. His clients include regional organizations, First Nation chiefs and councils, and Inuit and Métis organizations.

    A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) who qualified as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Ian has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and holds the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation. He was an inaugural member of the Farm Debt Review Board of Canada for the Manitoba Region, involved with CMA Manitoba and an inaugural member of the board of the CPA Western School of Business.
