This virtual event is hosted by the B.C. Chamber of Commerce and in partnership with Doig River First Nation. The session will provide perspective, enable understanding, and encourage reconciliation and collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in British Columbia.

Jameel Sayani CPA, CA, CAFM

Regional Managing Partner, Northern BC Provincial Director (BC), Indigenous Services

Jameel is MNP’s Regional Managing Partner for Northern B.C. Based in Prince George, Jameel leads the Firm’s Northern B.C. region team, working out of offices in Prince George, Quesnel, Terrace, Vanderhoof and Williams Lake. Jameel is also the Firm’s B.C. Director for Indigenous Services, delivering a broad range of assurance, tax, business advisory and consulting solutions to Indigenous clients across the province.

Drawing on more than 10 years of public practice experience, Jameel builds strong relationships with First Nations communities and organizations, helping them develop a strategic direction and realize their vision, in the short term and for generations to come. He also acts as a deal-flow advisor to First Nations and leverages MNP’s extensive expertise to help his clients with governance, business planning, recruitment, training, and succession planning.

Jameel received a Bachelor in Applied Science (BASc) from York University and a Diploma in accounting from the University of British Columbia. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2010. In 2012, he became a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM).

Jameel sits on the boards of Innovate BC and WeBC, which supports women entrepreneurs along their small business journey. He served as a director with the CPA Education Foundation of B.C., and is past-president of the Nanaimo Youth Services Association. He was named one of Vancouver Island’s Top 20 Under 40 in 2013.
