Dwight is a member of MNP’s U.S. Tax Services team in Calgary. He advises public and private companies on U.S. cross-border tax issues as they establish and carry on business in the U.S. He is dedicated to helping his clients navigate challenges in a rapidly changing business environment and achieve enduring success.

Dwight serves clients in a variety of industries, including agriculture (farming, cattle, livestock), consumer products, energy services, manufacturing, real estate, technology, travel, and accommodation.

He advises his clients on cross-border financing structures, federal and state income tax compliance and tax planning, investment in U.S. real estate, and U.S. income tax accounting for financial reporting purposes.

He helps his clients expand into the U.S. market in the most tax-efficient manner, and helps with the acquisition of U.S.-based assets from a buyer’s or seller’s perspective. His services also include U.S. federal and state corporate and partnership compliance, due diligence, and U.S. income tax treaty analysis.

Dwight earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) in accounting from the University of Calgary in 2018. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying in 2020, and is also an Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA 2025).
