Tony Marchegiano, CPA, CA, CPA (Illinois), is a Partner in MNP’s Mississauga office and a member of the firm’s International Tax Services team. Specializing in U.S. corporate tax, Tony delivers a full suite of services to Canadian multi-national and owner-managed companies with crossborder activities to help them stay in compliance with current U.S. federal and state tax legislation while minimizing taxes.

Tony draws on a strong understanding of U.S. federal and state law from a Canadian perspective, his training as a U.S. tax specialist and his extensive experience in developing cross-border solutions to deliver unique value to Canadian companies. He takes pride in devising and formulating creative tax-efficient solutions to help companies with U.S. expansion plans and growth initiatives ensure success.

Drawing on more than 15 years of experience, Tony helps clients with due diligence in the acquisition of U.S. entities and assets, U.S. corporate tax planning and consulting and implementing U.S. tax-efficient cross-border financing structures. His assistance includes U.S. tax compliance services at the federal, state and local levels as well as participating in tax audit defense. Tony works with clients in various industries, including manufacturing and distribution, energy, mining and metals, technology and retail.

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Toronto, Tony earned a Master of Science in Taxation degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as Chartered Accountant (CA), and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA (Illinois)).
