Training courses on Quebec’s new privacy law – the Act respecting the protection of personal information (Law 25)

Now that Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information (Law 25) is fully in effect, we understand that compliance will require considerable efforts for your business. To support you, MNP is happy to announce two new Law 25 courses.

Law 25 online course

This 20-minute basic training session uses real-life examples and can be followed online at any time. It is designed for all employees, whether they handle personal information or not.

The main subjects covered are:

    • Definition of personal information, with concrete examples
    • Roles and responsibilities of the Privacy Officer
    • Definition and identification of a privacy incident
    • Importance of consent, and the criteria for valid consent

Once the course is completed, a test will be administered to ensure important concepts and daily best practices relating to Law 25 have been grasped.

This offering includes a quarterly report that contains the number of valid and used licences and the list of attendees who have begun the course and/or passed the test.

Our pricing solutions are tailored to every need:

Plan Number of licences Cost per person
Basic 1-24 $60
Bronze 25-49 $55
Silver 50-74 $50
Gold 75-99 $45
Platinum 100 or more $40

Your plan subscription is valid for one (1) year, and licences can be renewed annually.

An account opening fee of $260 will be charged to new clients who purchase fewer than 50 licenses.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

Privacy Officer course

This four-hour training course is tailor-made for your business’s Privacy Officer (PO), to ensure they understand the basics and develop the responses they will need to diligently fulfill their role. The fee for this course is $3,495.

These new offerings will help you comply with Law 25. We invite you to explore them. If you have any questions regarding these courses, please contact Elisabeth Pelland.
