Matthew is a National Co-Leader of Digital Forensics as part of MNP’s Forensics and Litigation Support Services team. A digital forensic investigator with more than a decade of experience, his innovative approach helps him stay ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving field of digital forensics.

Matthew provides a wide breadth of services to enable the identification, preservation, analysis, and documentation of digital evidence, in order to address digital fraud and misconduct. He helps clients involved in legal proceedings and financial disputes, as well as corporations investigating situations of wrongdoing.

Matthew has investigated a diverse range of cases, including homicide, corporate theft, medical malpractice, sexual assault, and others.

Prior to joining MNP, Matthew was the co-owner of an Oakville, Ont.-based computer forensics company.

Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) in neuroscience and behaviour from McMaster University, with a focus on criminal behaviour and computer science. He holds several certifications in digital forensics software, including as a Magnet Certified Forensics Examiner (MCFE), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), and A+ certification. He is a licensed Private Investigator in Ontario, is qualified as an expert in several courts in Ontario and Alberta, and is an investigator for health regulatory colleges in Ontario.

Matthew has contributed to several publications, articles, and books and he presents at industry conferences and panels across North America.
