Steven Hacker, CPA, CA, CBV, is a Partner and Leader in MNP’s Valuation and Litigation Support practice in the Ontario region and provides financial advisory services to his clients in a wide range of industries.

For more than 20 years, Steven has provided strategic business valuation advice in mergers and acquisitions, going private transactions, tax and estate planning, income tax litigation, financial reporting, matrimonial dissolution, shareholder and partnership disputes and business interruption litigation. Steven also has extensive experience with intangible asset valuation, including technology, patents and trademarks.

As a qualified expert witness, Steven has testified on the subject of business valuations before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has participated in mediations. He is a frequent speaker, presenter and author on the subject of business valuations and intangible asset valuations. He has also provided instruction to senior level professionals and managers on a number of occasions, including presentations to Canada Revenue Agency, the Department of Justice Canada, CCH, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators and Federated Press.

Steven is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) who was designated in 1986 and became a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) in 1998. He earned his Master of Business Administration at the Schulich School of Business in 1984.
